Terms of Service

By accessing or using Logsmith ("the Service") at getlogsmith.com and app.getlogsmith.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Logsmith is operated by Winston White ("we", "us", or "our").

Logsmith is an AI-powered tool that connects to your GitHub repositories and generates human-readable changelogs from your git commit history.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

• You must have a valid GitHub account to use Logsmith
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or malicious content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Paid plans are billed monthly. All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• Free tier is provided as-is with no guarantees of continued availability

You retain ownership of your repositories and commit messages. By using Logsmith, you grant us a limited license to access your commit metadata solely for the purpose of generating changelogs.

You own the changelogs generated by Logsmith. We claim no intellectual property rights over content you generate using the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated changelogs will be accurate or complete.

You use the Service at your own risk. Always review generated changelogs before publishing them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logsmith shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after 30 days following termination.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
